Barbara is a committed vegan and animal rights activist. She has performed her inspiring songs at vegan festivals nationwide, as well as activist events. In 2021 she marked the anniversary of Animal Save activist Regan Russell's killing at a slaughterhouse vigil with Toronto Pig Save, with a live performance at her local Animal Save slaughterhouse vigil.
